"Art: emotional or rational?" is the question explored - and the title of - the newest, and one of the most popular, public exhibitions in the Pass.
The Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery's annual juried show held an opening reception on Saturday, July 3 showcasing an eclectic mix of talent by both local and out-of-town artists in a jury-selected summer exhibition.
Artists were invited to submit works of art created in line with an annual curatorial, and the results are brilliant.
Twenty-five artists responded in a variety of mediums, providing 40 different artworks for the show. Work included large acrylic and sand pieces in vivid primary colours, black and white photography, finely wrought watercolours, and traditional landscape oils.
The show runs from July 3 to Sept. 11 at the Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery in Frank. Admission is free.
