Oil and gas job fair to be held in Pincher Creek 0
With resumes at the ready, people living in and around our southwestern corner of the province will be given an opportunity to meet face-to-face with Northern Alberta employers at an upcoming job fair.
Company representatives will be on hand to answer questions about career opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
Possible job applicants are required to bring their resume and will have the chance to speak to a whole host of employers.
The job fair starts on Friday, September 21 and runs Saturday as well.
Just as Friday sessions start at 10 a.m. and run until 8 p.m., the Saturday job fair wraps up at 4 p.m.
The two-day event will be held at the Heritage Inn Hotel in Pincher Creek and can be found at 919 Waterton Avenue.
Currently, it is the proposed goal to have people working in northern Alberta, but to have them possibly fly from the Pincher Creek airport.
The job fair will be hosted by the town of Pincher Creek, the Piikani Nation, the MD of Pincher Creek, the province of Alberta as well as Alberta Works.
Some of the companies and or associations represented will be MEG Energy, SMS Equipment, URS Flint, Shell Canada, the Lethbridge College and Alberta Human Services.
If currently looking for a job in northern Alberta or to learn more about becoming a represented company, please email jobfair@pinchercreek.ca
Information sessions will be held from Sept. 18-22. For locations and times, please visit www.employment.alberta.ca/jobfairs or phone 403-627-1125.
