Community branding initiative gets underway 0

Whether selling a product, an idea or even a community, the brand that is presented to potential buyers is an important marketing tool. No one demonstrates this better than one of the strongest, richest and most expertly branded companies in the world, Apple.

The Crowsnest Pass has recently commenced its new branding initiative and the committee has now met with representatives from The Studio Group, the company hired to help them along the way.

The Edmonton based firm's latest project was the community of Canmore and the results of their work can be seen on their website. Councillor Andrew Saje was in on the initial meeting and said that he appreciates their approach.

"What I like about them is they don't believe in reinventing the wheel. They are going to study and use all the relevant work previously done by the community," said Saje.

The Studio Group and the Municipality are looking to Crowsnest residents for input on this project through means of a short, eight question survey. The document can be accessed via the Municipality's website and filled out online. For those who prefer hard copies, they are available from the Coleman office and the Blairmore Library.

All surveys must be filled out online or dropped off at the Municipal office by September 19, 2012. Answers will remain confidential and results will only be published in aggregate form.
